One of the main advantages of cordless tools is that they use lithium batteries for their operation, so you do not need a power source. For the same reason, tools can be of great use in remote areas where power is not available.
Safety
Since there are no physical cables, there is less chance of the operator or anyone else on the job site tripping and falling. In addition, the lack of physical cables also reduces the risk of electrocution.

Expensive
Cordless tools use the latest technology, and in most cases modern technology is relatively expensive as OEMs are trying to cover their research and development costs, which is quite understandable. So if there is a traditional and a cordless power tool and they both do the same thing, the cordless is most likely priced higher.
Less reliable
Traditional tools have been made for decades; therefore, the engineering involved in making traditional power tools is much more reliable and time-tested. On the other hand, cordless tool engineering and manufacturing procedures are still in their infancy and take time to reach the same level of perfection. That is why tools are more prone to defects and damage compared to corded tools. Also, you can always plug in the cord of a traditional power tool and hope it works, but the same cannot be said for cordless power tools, as one can forget to recharge the battery. If you are working with a cordless power tool, you must remember to recharge the battery after each project.
Less powerful
Although not that big of an issue for a casual consumer, the lack of heavy duty performance can become a deal breaker for a professional or someone demanding extra power. Cordless tools are usually fine for light to medium jobs; however, they are not adequate and powerful enough for heavy duty tasks. If you are an occasional hobbyist who would use your tool primarily for household projects, then there is nothing to worry about as the tools will get the job done comfortably. However, if you are a professional who performs heavy tasks on a regular basis, cordless power tools would not be the right choice.
