Success Vs Environment – Your Immediate Environment

Have you ever heard a motivational speaker or read a book that totally inspired you to take a different course of action? Has he ever walked out of a seminar where the motivational speakers had him so determined that he knew nothing could stand in his way and stop him from succeeding?

Have you ever had that feeling of deflation or the motivational effect wear off, hours or days after the seminar? Have you ever wondered whether or not you would have succeeded if that determination had stayed with you? would you do it? There is an incredible chance that you will. The cause of your loss of motivation is the ENVIRONMENT. Not the state or province you live in… your immediate environment.

Your immediate environment is the group of people you hang out with, the books you read, the things you watch or listen to. Environment waits at the door at the exit of the seminar. He still doesn’t argue with you, but sits in your car with you while you make phone calls, telling others about the life-changing message he heard from an amazing motivational speaker or group of speakers. He does not debate with you about the motivational speakers or the messages they gave. DON’T EVEN CONSIDER THAT! Your environment embodies you because you are returning to it.

Your environment is like a container for your dreams… for your beliefs and habits. If your environment, your beliefs, your habits, do not support your goals or dreams, it will cause your motivation to deflate like a balloon. The solution is to change your environment. You should surround yourself with literature and people who have beliefs and habits that support your goal(s). Being with people who have already achieved similar goals. Your beliefs and habits will begin to alter accordingly. Scientists suggest that we are the average of the 5 people we spend most of our time with. Think about it.
